Experience, Biography & Approach
Irene has several years of experience teaching English to teenagers and adults, both in-person and online. She has worked with learners from different backgrounds, helping them improve their fluency, expand their vocabulary and communicate more naturally in everyday, academic and professional contexts.
Irene was born in Cal Fosco, Italy, into a multicultural family. Her father is Italian and her mother is German. Growing up, she was inspired daily by their dedication and passion in the hospitality industry — her mother managing small hotels and bed & breakfasts, and her father, a renowned chef.
Alongside this rich cultural upbringing, Irene pursued her artistic passion by attending the prestigious Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli (SPILIMBERGO), where she graduated cum laude as a Master Mosaicist. Her mosaic work has taken her around the world, contributing to projects in Argentina, the UK and South Africa, among other places.
Irene speaks Italian, German and English.
Irene believes that learning a language is about connection, expression and real-life use. She combines clear explanations with interactive activities and meaningful conversation, ensuring lessons are both effective and enjoyable.
Her goal is to help students build confidence, improve accuracy and develop the skills they need to communicate effectively in any situation.
