About Diana

Experience, Biography & Approach

Diana has around 15 years of experience teaching English to learners of different ages and levels, from young children to adults. She has worked in school settings, with private learners and in professional contexts, both in person and online.

She holds CELTA, TEFL and TEYL qualifications and particularly enjoys creating practical, engaging lessons that help students use English confidently in real-life situations. Her teaching spans beginner to advanced levels, including A1–C1.

Diana was born in Manchester and moved to Italy at the age of nine. Growing up in Italy while maintaining a strong connection with the English language and English-speaking culture has given her a genuinely bilingual perspective.

For Diana, teaching has become much more than a profession: it is a way of connecting with people, helping them discover their abilities and giving them the confidence to communicate. Her bilingual background also helps her understand many of the difficulties students experience when learning English.

Diana’s approach is friendly, practical, student-centred and communicative. She adapts lessons to the learner rather than expecting every student to learn in the same way, combining clear grammar and language work with meaningful speaking and real-life communication.

She creates a relaxed, supportive environment where mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning. Students are encouraged to speak, gradually take on greater challenges and focus on communicating rather than worrying about being perfect. Confidence, motivation and relevance to each student’s goals are central to her lessons.

Music and singing are an important part of Diana’s life. She is also a singer and has studied singing for several years, an experience that has strengthened her awareness of pronunciation, rhythm, intonation and the importance of using the voice with confidence.

Outside teaching, Diana enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, discovering new things and enjoying the little moments in everyday life.
