Our Team
Our consultancy is a tight-knit English learning centre, led by
James Maposa and Irene Ligustri based in San Michele Al Tagliamento, in Veneto, Northern Italy. They create a nurturing atmosphere that encourages academic development for each student. We partner with more than 12 native language teachers located in the United Kingdom and Cape Town, South Africa.

Meet Our
Founder
James Maposa: was raised in a close-knit, multicultural family shaped by two very different worlds: a self-made Zimbabwean father from Southern Africa and a British mother from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This blend of cultures instilled in him an early appreciation for diversity, communication, and the value of learning from others.
After graduating from Hotel School, James earned an HND in Marketing Management and later an MBA from Nottingham Trent University.
James has over 23 years of management experience, in prestigious brands such as Crowne Plaza, African Sun Hotels, Spier Wine Estate, and the Akeibo Travel Group in Africa. He also has well over 5 years of experience teaching English in 13 schools across the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions.

Our teachers combine professional expertise with a strong focus on building meaningful relationships, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. With the standards and commitment expected of a university-level team, we strive to inspire growth, confidence, and academic excellence in every student.
Assistant to Director
Sanja Drekovic
Sanja Drekovic, is Assistant to the Director at James Albert. A Croatian national with Bosnian family ties, she is a mother of two, passionate about travel, and a dedicated James Albert student.
Administrator
Irene Rizzin
Irene Rizzin, born in Colfosco to a multicultural family, trained as a mosaic artist, worked in South Africa as Logistics Director, and now applies her administrative expertise at the James Albert.
Institute Development Coordinator
Irene Ligustri
Irene Ligustri has been instrumental in the founding of James Albert, working closely with James from the earliest stages. Energetic and creative, she studied Art at university and helped shape the school’s foundations.
English Professor
Gabriella Favro
Gabriella is an experienced teacher who lived in England for five years. She creates a warm, safe learning environment where children explore English with confidence, curiosity, joy, and a love of discovery.
French Professor
Marie Moreaù
Marie Moreau, is an experienced teacher who lived in England for five years. She creates a warm, safe learning environment where children explore English with confidence, curiosity, joy, and a love of discovery.
German Professor
Arianna Fraulin
Arianna is a German teacher with over twenty years of experience. She holds degrees in German and Spanish and specialist teaching certification. Passionate about languages, she tailors lessons to learners’ needs and emphasises the importance of German for professional success in the local area.
